On The Course July 8th

Javier Sanchez working on Tee Service

It's another nice morning on the course with morning temps in the upper 60's.  Today we will be single cutting greens and resetting the course.  A reminder that tomorrow we will be needle tine venting greens to allow air and gas exchange in the greens after the hot humid weather we have experienced the last few weeks.  This type of weather is condusive to what we call greens sealing up and not allowing air into the soil profile which the greens need to stay healthy.  We will be double rolling greens immediatley after to smooth them out again.
We will be monitoring conditions this afternoon for overhead irrigation and hand watering with the high temps that are forecasted for the afternoon.  It's going to be a great day for golf so get out and play!!
