On The Course June 4th

Sod going in on #9 Fairway

We are mowing and rolling greens this morning. Troy and Corey are setting the course up for play today. Fairways are being mowed and we will be working mowing the rough down. We have a small system of rain off to the west that should roll through late morning. It is dissipating at this time and should not amount to much rain. We will be working on some fairway sod projects later today and into the rest of the week.

 

We hosted the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association yesterday for the Research Scramble. We had over 100 players consisting of Superintendents, Assistants and others in the Golf Industry. We were very excited to host the event at Medina and everyone enjoyed the golf course. Jeff Pint, Superintendent at New Prague, had a hole in one on # 17. Paul Diegnau, Superintendent at Keller and his team made a 2 on hole number 1. We had a great time and the team from Medina Golf and Country Club consisted of Erin McManus, Troy Tschida (Assistant), Corey Heasley (Assistant) and Ben Meyers. We shot a 58 to finish in 3rd place. Big thanks to all of staff of the club for hosting a great event.
