JD and the crew working on some chipping yesterday. |
We missed most of the rain yesterday as it moved through the East Metro. We are looking at some sun and clouds today with a "30%" chance of rain. We are mowing and rolling greens this morning. The range tee is set up on the turf today. Corey is setting pin locations and Guillermo is mowing some rough around the greens. Fernando was able to get some more sod put out on a couple fairways yesterday. We will continue this going into next week.
We are going to let carts off the path today with the exception of hole #14. There are too many wet areas that could cause significant damage if driven through. Please use the 90 degree rule by leaving the cart path 90 degrees from direction of play to your ball. Return to the path to advance down the hole. Keep carts on the path around all tees and greens as well as all of the par 3 holes. I do not like to have carts on the path very much but it has saved the maintenance staff countless hours of turf repair by keeping carts on the paths.
Gabriel and Gustavo were able to get some wood mulch hauled into the comfort station to deter some of the muddy conditions. We will be expanding the mulch path on #4 as time allows. We will have a busy week next week catching up on projects if the weather is dry. We are looking at a high pressure system moving in later this evening and sticking around for a couple of days. That usually means some sunny weather.
