A little snow on the course this morning with more on the way! |
We have most of the covers ready to come off and the staff is ready. With the cold nights in the forecast for this week we thought it would be best to leave the greens protected a little bit longer. They look really good under the covers and we don't want them getting damaged by pulling the covers too early. We are monitoring soil temperatures and looking under them daily. They have not started to grow to this point. High temperatures in the middle 30's are not going to get them growing under the covers. We will need a couple of days in the 50's to get the snow to melt off and get the covers to dry out.
The crew is continuing to work on cleaning up debris from the tree trimming this winter. They have raked most of the small branches and debris into piles and Troy has been using a wood chipper to make some mulch for the walk paths on #7.
